The Origins of a Journalist: Carlos Acedo

From the hot dessert of Nevada to the busy beachy streets of Long Beach, Carlos Acedo is a fifth-year journalism major at California State Long Beach and hopes to pressure a career in broadcasting or even become a radio host.

He was originally born in Long Beach California but due to family reasons he moved to Las Vegas while he was still very young, he grew up there and enjoyed his time living there with his parents and sister, he attended a community college where he earned his associate's degree and ultimately made the decision to move back to Long Beach with his family to attend school here in Long Beach.

When he's not in school, you can find him watching sports; his favorite teams are the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also enjoys playing video games and collecting things like record vinyl's and figurines from his favorite shows or movies. His favorite movie of all time is the boys, and he enjoys watching films as he just recently watched the new movie Marty Supreme.

He works for parks all around the city of Cerritos as a park ranger and enjoys working with the people. Movies are something he enjoys as well as his favorite is good fellows and when he's craving fast food in n out is his go-to place.

He plans on continuing his education in grad school after he finishes his bachelor's degree at CSULB, he has three schools in mind to apply to by next year he either wants to stay here in Long Beach, move down the coast to SDSU or more towards the city at USC. At those schools he plans to work towards a higher education to obtain the job of his dreams.
