A Podcast to Enjoy with Some Dip
Clips N' Dip is a podcast show that posts weekly episodes on the NBA basketball team, The Los Angeles Clippers. The show is hosted by 3 Clippers reporters named Charles Mockler, William Updyke and Adam Ausland.
Each episode they dive deep into each game that the Clippers played that week as well talk about other news in Clippers-sphere. They will go over the team's win and losses and discuss what went well and what the team needs to improve going forward. They debate on reports or trends regarding the team. As well as going over stats, trends in their play during the game and fun facts of each particular game. They also include interviews of players and have special guest reporters or entertainers that happen to be experts or fans of the team.
It is jokingly named Clips N' Dip because the hosts thought originally that they were going to talk Clippers basketball but while partaking in chips and dip. However, that has never really been the case since each episode it is just fans of the team debating and discussing the team's strengths and woes. Instead, they occasionally will rate a new dip with some chips of their choosing when they need a fun segment during the episode.
The Los Angeles Clippers are my favorite basketball team, and I have been a fan since around 2012. Over time, my fandom grew and I was looking into different podcasts and shows that recap the games and discuss about my favorite team. I found a podcast named Locked on Clippers and found Charles Mockler and William Updyke hosting that particular show. Later on, they would leave the show to form their own podcast along with Adam Ausland. I personally love the way they talk about the team.
The hosts bring a chill vibe with their chemistry and nature of the podcast but also not afraid to give their opinions on team. The podcast is also live at times so they could connect and interact with fans to get their takes and opinions on the team rather than just their own. They also try to answer questions to help fans figure out what they wouldn't normally be able to figure out on their own. Basically, an inside scoop.
One thing I would add more to their podcast is possibly more segments to keep the show a bit more organized. Although, that might drive away the chill and laid-back nature of the show, it may make it more cohesive and not drag the show down.
Overall, I highly recommend giving the show a listen whether you're a Clippers fan or not. The show is very inviting and anyone can kick back, enjoy some dip while listening to some good ol' Clippers talk.
